Egyptian forces strip and beat a protestor in Hijab

I watched a video yesterday which caused me great frustration at my inability to somehow help this woman. I don't want to post this video although it has been going around because I'm sure this woman does not want her body to viewed by thousands of people.

Protests have been going on in Egypt against the military and the consequences have been horrible. The video shows the inhumanity of these soldiers who run down a man and a woman, one who is in a veil and start beating them repeatedly. They go to the extent of stripping her clothes off and in one instant you see her in only her bra and jeans.

It's barbaric, appalling and nerve wracking. No words can describe what I felt for this woman. These protestors are innocent people and what makes it worse is that for a Muslim Woman in Hijab, being exposed to the public is a matter of great humiliation. The betrayal in this is that these military forces are Muslim and Egyptian and yet they do not feel any shame in killing, beating and humiliating their own people.

This is one case that has been made public, thousands of other happen and are happening in the Muslim / World by oppressive tyrants for who nothing matters except power.

When will this brutality stop? Not only in Egypt, but the rest of the Muslim / Arab world. Brutality that happens openly and underground for the sake of power, greed and wealth. How many more women will be humilated and how many men will be sacrificed for our countries to be safe again?

I watched the video yesterday and yet I cannot seem to stop thinking about that woman today. I wonder if she okay and if she survived the attack. A part of me is glad that such brutality has been broadcasted and SCAF exposed, but on the other hand I wish that it had been not, or not in such clear view as I know the woman would feel that her modesty is in shreds as thousands of people see her body and yet she who used to wear the Hijab, used to take care not to let even her hair show.
